We offer EVERY brand of hair in our salon so if you have your favourite brand great! ... we can fit it for you! The cheapest optin may not always be the best option, similarly the most expensive hair may not be the best option. The brand should be chosen by looking at hair texture.
WASHING: You should not wash your hair for 2-3 days after having the extensions fitted to allow the bonds to set properly. Hair fitted with hair extensions should be washed 2-3 times a week. Smooth the shampoo down the hair avoiding rubbing as this will cause the hair to tangle however you can massage the shampoo throughout the bonds. Condition from mid length to the ends avoiding getting conditioner on the bonds as this will cause the bonds to slip. Please avoid tipping the hair over the bath to wash as this can cause the hair to knot. Squeeze and pat gently to remove excess water. Detangle the hair and brush the bonds with a hair extension brush to separate the bonds on a regular basis. It is essential that you only use the recommended hair extension shampoo and conditioner to protect the hair and avoid dryness and tangling. Silver shampoo is not recommended in any case and will void any warranty on your hair extensions. Silver shampoo is used at clients on risk. The hair extension technician can order your hair a few shades lighter so you can avoid using silver shampoo, only washing the top section of your hair being careful to avoid the extensions entirely by clipping them to one side. Do not use dry shampoo as this will cause a product build up and the extensions will slide out.
DRYING: Never allow your hair extensions to dry naturally. You can use a hair extension conditioning spray or argan oil whilst damp. Dry you hair on a cool setting. Section your hair and blowdry using a hair extension brush or round vented brush. Always use a heat protection spray.
BRUSHING: Always brush your hair gently holding the top of your hair to avoid any stress on the natural hair. Use an extension brush with soft bristles.
SLEEPING: Never go to sleep with wet hair and wear hair in a loose ponytail or side plait when sleeping.
MAINTENANCE: Maintenance is very important to ensure natural regrowth and we offer an extensive aftercare service. A telephone number will be given to you for any questions or queries. Aftercare will be re-visited at every appointment to make sure you are not struggling. Hair care products can be purchased on the day if you wish to do so and aftercare is available on the website and via email/message attachment. Please request aftercare information if you feel you are struggling. The length of time between maintenance appointments will depend on the application method. A small deposit will be taken to secure your maintenance appointment in the diary which is non refundable if you cancel but we will be more than willing to re-arrange your appointment for you.
REMOVAL: Removal should be carried out by a professional within the correct time frame to prevent damage to the natural hair. All application methods used in our salon help your natural hair to grow and cause zero damage when maintained and removed correctly. Removal appointments can range from 20-60 minutes.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please use the correct hair products. Do not subject your hair to excess heat. The scalp will feel tender for a few days after having hair extensions but you are free to contact us with any questions. A whatsapp group has been set up which you can contact AT ANY TIME. It is normal for a few hair extensions to slip and slide out upon being fit but these extensions will be put back in free of charge. Please wash your hair regularly if you have an oily scalp to prevent a build up of natural oils and the bonds from slipping. We advise you book a 4 week check up appointment to check your hair extensions. If maintenance appointments are not regularly attended at 6-8 weeks and aftercare is not followed we cannot be held responsible for any damage done to your own hair. Please have a 1-2 week break after wearing hair extensions for a few month to give your scalp a break
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE: You have 28 DAYS from the date of fitting (due to hair being a consumable item) to return your hair extensions to the supplier. Please allow enough time to allow for return as no returns will be considered by the supplier after this date. Any complaints will be dealt with swiftly. Please return to the salon in the first instance for the hair to be washed to remove any product build up. The hair will then be assessed and replaced or refunded if found to be defective by the hair extension supplier. Hair WILL NOT be refunded unless it is found to be faulty by the hair extension supplier. The Doll Palace LTD does not refund the hair until the hair is found to be at fault. A full report will be provided to you from the hair extension supplier once the hair has been through various testing. Silver shampoo, bleach, toners, colouring or excess heat over 180 degrees is not recommended in any case and will void any warranty on your hair extensions at every single hair extension company throughout the UK. Hair that is coloured, bleached or washed with silver shampoo will not be refunded in any case as the product can dissolve the glue bonds and cause severe shedding. Products that alter the colour of clients hair extensions are used at client’s own risk and a patch test is advised if clients wish to do so to test the strength of the dye. Each hair extension company have their own procedure for returning the hair which must be followed. Please make yourself aware of this procedure as all of the hair will be required to be removed if a problem occurs leaving a short break between wearing extensions.
